About Us
While raising our two daughters, one of our goals was to stress manners & kindness to others.
We also wanted our girls to embrace being girls. Of course that was not too difficult while
they were toddlers. But as they became grade school age, we noticed there were many avenues
for girls sport, hiking, more sports, but we found a void for an arena to encourage manners &
home arts.
We started our little club, focusing on manners, home arts such as sewing, cooking, crocheting,
knitting, and the list goes on. We found that teas lent themselves perfectly for discussing &
practicing the art of conversation and manners.
As time went on, at every meeting we had a little tea. We took turns for the girls to hostess,
we practiced keeping everyone in the conversation excluding no one.
We expanded this practice by having theme teas. Dress-up teas, teas with dolls, Teddy Bear
Teas, Country teas, lots and lots of American Girl Teas changing the era of taking teas,
Beatrix Potter teas, garden teas, Japanese teas, oh there were a multitude of delightful,
memory making teas.
Noticing that there was a want and need in the community for teas for parties &
organizations we started our tea catering business. We designed many individual specialty
teas for our area. We presented forums on etiquette &manners, we gave tea talks to
organizations in the community. We offered our little farm house as a tea room.
As time went on, I got certified as a Tea Specialist, attend many tea conventions, always
studying the art, & health benefits of tea.
While my daughters are continuing their educational pursuits, I am carrying on the tea
lifestyle. My mission is to introduce & teach as many people as I can reach on the value of
taking tea & drinking tea.
What is the difference?
Taking tea is sitting down either in solitude or with others & enjoying the tea, the foods, the
surroundings.
If taking tea in solitude, time to praise the Lord, study Bible verses, meditating on all our
gifts the Lord has to offer, most particularly nature.
Or if in solitude, simply sipping on tea, and taking time to think about things we don’t have
time for in the busy course of the day. Or perhaps reading a delightful poem.
If you are taking tea with others, oh my goodness, what better avenue than tea to actually
talk and fellowship with others.
What better way than taking tea to bond with a friend, child, grandchild.
Taking tea with others builds friendships, bonds, & memories.
Drinking Tea
We drink tea everyday as a delicious,
health promoting beverage. We start
out with white tea, or an herbal tea
from the garden. In the afternoon we
move on the green teas. The caffeine
in green tea is just enough to give a
little boost & not a powerful as a cup of
coffee.
We drink tea for the flavor, health
reasons, hydration, & pure enjoyment.
Combining years of experience & education to teach and encourage taking tea &
preparation of delicious foods. Foods for health building & foods for relationship
building.
Teas plus fine foods is the recipe for memories, bonding & tranquility.
